Alone in the Dark delayed, now dated for June

shuandrew | April 03, 2008 | News | PC Playstation 2
Atari has confirmed today that the fifth Alone in the Dark title, originally penned for a May release, will now be delayed until June in order to fix bugs and add extra polish.
In whatÂ’s looking like being one of the darkest, creepiest videogames to be heading to the videogaming world in 2008, Atari has unveiled a fresh set of images for the so-called apocalyptic action blockbuster, originally planned for launch in May, but now currently penned down for release on June 20 and June 24 in Europe and North America respectively.

This game better be a damn good one, considering how many delays there have been.

Most of the time games aren't delayed to make them better. As in, they aren't tweaking the gameplay. Delays usually come down to technical issues like performance and bugs. So really it's difficult to say that a game should be better just because it's been delayed so many times.

This is the one experimenting with episodic content right? As opposed to like an 8-20 hour game you get episodes as they release.

I might have it confused with another game. But it's survival horror for sure.

Disapointing it had to be pushed back but never the less the wait can't hurt, just makes us more eager for the game.
