After weeks of rumour and speculation, SEGA has confirmed that Sonic Unleashed will arrive for the Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360 in late 2008. The firm promises a new, revolutionary graphics engine, day and night time mechanics and *gulp* a brand new combat system.

After the leak of all videogaming leaks, denial from its creators and more than a smattering of rumour and speculation, SEGA has finally confirmed that the next platforming outing for its most famous hedgehog, Sonic Unleashed, is in development and will arrive before the year is out.

Unlike so many people, I have a lot of hope for this game. I believe Sega has learned from a few of its mistakes- hopefully enough of them to make this one great. I'd love to see a revival of the Sonic series on my Wii. Heh...

Not really... lots of new details today. The last post was just SEGA responding to all of the leaked info. Game's dated today too.

I thought that the next Sonic game for the Wii wasn't going to come out for a while. I'm glad because I'm a sonic fan !

Hopefully, this Sonic game won't be worth dogshit like it's predecessors since 2002.

The previous Sonic games were really short, and they got boring after a while. I hope that these become awesome, and they don't take 10 hours to beat .

Yeah, no one likes a short simple Sonic game, they aren't that great.
