First guy to complete GTA IV

Rob Taylor, the deputy editor of Xbox World 360 magazine tells us what it's like to be the first man to complete GTA IV. It's funny, he makes it sound so easy when you first read it, I'm sure it will be a lot harder than he makes out.

With GTA IV due out on April 29 a few of our esteemed magazine friends in the GamesRadar network have been granted access to review the game already. That's right - one of the perks of being permanently slagged off on forums and two-bit blogs is that games writers get the opportunity to play games before they're in the shops.

The first of our colleagues to actaully finish the game is Rob Taylor, deputy editor of Xbox World 360 magazine, and below he tells us (as best he can) what it feels like to be the first person to finish GTA in the world. Lucky bastard.

    I hate it that R* is never gonna bring this to PC. I'll never get a PS3 or X360 in this lifetime.

      All the other GTA games came to the PC, so I don't see why it won't happen with IV.

    I thought it was relevant seeing as it's possibly the most anticipated game of 2008.

    For the most part I'm going to kind of ignore what this guy had to say. Why? because he rushed through it in 24hrs. It's like eating a steak really fast and giving your opinion on it. It's pretty narrow as you didn't pace yourself to completely immerse and enjoy it thus meaning you can't give an accurate opinion on it.

    It's good to see, though, that from what he did play (rushed as it was) that he enjoyed it.

    Actually I would find it alot more likely for a rockstar in house tester to have completed it first.

      Yeah, I figured it would be actually one of the devs/programmers. But yeah, testers stand a chance at being the first...In bits and pieces of course, not all at once, but over the course of development...

      Perhaps the first one (at least outside the testers and employees of Rockstar) to beat the final version?

    I bet he feels untouchable now and he'll be so big-headed, but like tek said he rushed through it in 24 hours, he hardly got a real taste of what the game is like. =\
