On June 30, 2008 some games for the PSP and PS2 online servers will be shutting down. You may want to play them for all they are worth online, because in a few months, they will only be available offline.

As of June 30, 2008 you will no longer be able to use the online features of the following games:

PlayStation 2
Amplitude
Destruction Derby Arenas
Everybody’s Golf
EyeToy Chat
F1 ‘04
Jak X
Lemmings PS2
My Street
Syphon Filter Omega Strain
This is Football 2004
This is Football 2005
Twisted Metal: Black Online

PSP
Lemmings
World Tour Soccer 2

After this date, you will still be able to play them offline, with the exception of EyeToy Chat and Twisted Metal: Black Online, which do not have offline modes.

World tour soccer 2 is one of my favourite PSP sports games. I wanted to play it online some day. But now I'll never get that chance.

I think they should tank all of the old PS2 games which don't get more than 10 people on a day, I'm sure it will piss 7 or some people off but who cares?

A lot of those are old, but still good. Some people will be dissapointed. At least they're not shutting down bigger games, like Guitar Heroes. Then they'd be in a lot of trouble.
And I didn't even know PS2 could be used online...

I never played a ps2 game online though, having to buy the extras to play online just didn't interest me. But if they were to be shut down i doubht they would have much activity.

I feel sorry for whoever plays those games. I reckon game stores will cut down the price a little when it ends the online servers...
