It's time to get your groove on, Europe! EA has just confirmed the release date for the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band, but has stated that it's a "timed exclusive." On top of that, they've also released the full list of European-exclusive songs to whet your palette and make you even more excited when the game's finally released.

Electronic Arts will be releasing the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band in Europe on 23rd May.

It will be a timed exclusive for Microsoft, with PS3, PS2 and Wii offerings to appear "later this summer".

"For a limited time only"? What the hell? Since when did companies start releasing games for limited time periods?

That's complete bullshit, Europe and co. already get *bleep*ed over enough as it is and it's done for no real god damn good reason. The only lame reasons they have for screwing Europe and co. over so much is they:
    A) Are lazy bastards.
    B) Feel as though just because there's some different languages, that they can't release the different language versions of a game as they are translated thus pushing things epicly back for everyone...for many many months.
    C) Are playing favourites.

This falls under them being lazy mofo's.

What sucks is this is gunna be a pretty pricey game... so having a time limit on the release doesnt help if you're guna need to save up for it like me.

At least you guys know when you are getting Rock Band. Australia still doesn't even have a date, let alone a price.

Well a good rule of thumb is that Aussie's release date is the same as Europe's give or take a few days since we're using the same region coding. If we don't have a set release date, just assume it's the same as Europe's unless the company has specified otherwise.
