At Nintendo's Media Summit in San Francisco today, the firm pulled the wraps off what has previously been known as Super Mario Stadium Baseball, but is now Mario Super Sluggers for the Nintendo Wii. Control details, gameplay and characters were all revealed.

Nintendo's annual Media Summit began in San Francisco today; an event in which the firm plans to show off some of the gaming delights it has to offer us all for the year ahead. Their first conference has just taken place, with information on their plans for Wii and DS in general and, first of all, Mario Super Sluggers (originally known as Super Mario Stadium Baseball).

    Well, well, well, and I was starting to think Nintendo were going to forget the idea of transforming Wii Sports gamers. This though seems like a great step.

    Sounds fun, as long as it plays like a pimped version of the Wii Sports baseball it should be good.

    EDIT: Especially if it has Wi-Fi (which I'm assuming that it would)

    Super Mario Baseball was decent, but another Mario spin-off is pissing me off.
