Do we have a Prince of Persia?

There's another rumor out and about about who will play the lead role in the Prince of Persia movie. Despite 10,500,000 people wanting the real-life Prince of Persia to play the lead role, it was rumored that Orlando Bloom got it, but that was quickly proven false. Who's the rumor about this time? Jake Gyllenhaal.

Ok, on the heel’s of yesterday’s news that Orlando Bloom is NOT going to be Dastan in PRINCE OF PERSIA: The Sands of Time, I decided to snoop around today and find out who is or who Disney is at least looking at.

Ok, here is what I just learned from multiple sources in Hollywood just minutes ago.

THE OFFER IS OUT TO JAKE GYLLENHAAL!

    I stand by my comment I made regarding the Orlando Bloom rumor:

    I'd rather see the real PoP play the lead role.

    PoP is for sure the best choice; but I'd still pick Orlando Bloom over this guy.
    He doesn't look very 'Persian' to me.

    Jake is a *bleep*ing great actor, but as the prince of persia it would be a terrible casting decision.

    It's the real deal or nothing for me. If they don't choose the real PoP I just won't see the movie.....most video game movies suck anyway, so I prob won't be missing out on much.

    He would be the worst Prince they could possibly choose...hold no that's not ture. But he is still down there!!

    Bloom was an ok choice as I could see him working. But why oh why can't they just see logic and go for the acting, sword wielding real Prince of Persia.

    LMAO maybe they don't want the real PoP, i know i don't want him playing the part.

    As for him, he's a great actor, whether he could play the role im not entirely sure, but i can't say he would suck though. Cause we don't know how he will do.

    I love how people say the Prince of Persia is their favorite...

    How bout you learn his name?

    Why not call him that dude from Marci X...and yes he was, in fact, in that abomination of a movie.

    Personally I think someone with experience playing a lead role should be Prince...although I do think they should find a place for David Zandi as a cameo or support role

    It's sad that people like Jake Gyllenhaal and Zac Efron are even being considered for the role. They don't even look like the character, and Efron's acting ability is questionable at best.

    Orlando Bloom and David Zandi are both better options because they can act and they look like the character. Why can't Disney see that good acting skills isn't all you need, but appearance too. No amount of make-up can make Efron and Gylenhaal look like the prince.

    Maybe its taking them long to come to a choice for the role. I mean Stuff like this isn't clear cut, im sure something is causing a delay.
