Yet another disturbed mind is on trial for murder. What's so big about that that it's covered here at GameGrep? Like Andew Lackey, J.P. Orlewicz is blaming video games, or more specifically, Hitman, for his dastardly deed. People these days seem to be quick to jump on the "blame something rather than accept defeat" bandwagon, but why does the target always seem to be video games in these types of situations?
People really need to start taking responsibility for their actions...
Weve heard some testimony today thats very interesting Before the killing took place J.P. Orlewicz, the defendant, used to say, I want to commit a crime and not get caught and be able to get away with it So now we see the mindset of a young man that is fixated on doing harm, according to the prosecution witnesses. Fixated on committing a crime Because you wonder how something like this can happen
How did the defense deal with that? They dealt with it with a video game called Hitman that he used to watch, and it was a video game where you got impressions that you would kill somebody, hit them from their back side where they were not aware that they were being killed. And, so the defense is probably going to focus on that there was not a true intent to commit a crime, just a fixation with this video game.

This reminds me of a kid in NYC a few years ago when the Matrix sequel came out. He dressed in a black leather outfit, raided his uncle's gun collection, and walked around on the streets. Needless to say, he gained attention.
