There's one thing we need to get cleared... by reading your mind with Metal Gear Solid, I don't mean by giving you a great game that gamers wanted - it was a great game, no doubt about it, but those that played the game will remember one of the boss battles, and specifically I'm talking about the one against Psycho Mantis... for those that don't, let me tell you....

Psycho Mantis, as the first part of his name may suggest was Psychic (and a Psycho),and could hence read your mind (hence the play on words in the title...), and what that meant, was that whatever action you took in the game to try and kill him, he'd know what you were doing and counter it. But how do you defeat him you ask? Well that was quite simply... you simply removed your controller from Port 1 and Plug it into Port 2. And wallah, you'll notice how he is no longer able to read your mind.... As the title of this article suggests, Hideo Kojima may be getting up to his old tricks again... however in the interests of those not wanting to be spoiled, I'll warn you NOT to click on the source unless you absolutely want to know... so bewere SPOILERS AHEAD

We spoke to one of the few US journalists that have played the full game and under condition of anonymity, and they agreed to divulge a few gameplay elements that gamers have never been exposed to before. Although most folks laugh at Sony’s implementation of motion controls, after playing MGS4 with the DUALSHOCK3 controller, you just might change your mind!

Freakin sick. I just wish I didn't need two damn Dualshocks to do it. You'd think one would work for the interrogation portion.
And the eye isea would probably look stupid.

Why do you keep comparing Neo to GG in gaming articles? I'm curious to know what difference do you see in these articles do decide rather it would go on Neo or GG.

Well, how does a writer decide whether it is more suitable for neo or GG?

I love how the Metal Gear Solid break the "fourth wall" in storytelling. The last part of Metal Gear Solid 2 was classic. I'm not reading this for fear of spoilers!

Its fake. Read the comments. Its from sarcastic gamer and its "Fiction friday".

Would be pretty awesome though. Lol what if someone walked in on you with your eyes close and two controllers on your head.

Unles, you were all going along with the joke, I am sorry for ruining it.

If anyone thought this was serious than your pretty sad.

Changing controller ports shouldn't have an affect at all of him reading your actions, right there is a tip off its fake.

Um. That was true. It's supposed to be "out of the box" thinking, quite literally.

Damn, I don't want to believe that was fake, it sounds so cool.

Especially the interrogation part and the crawling part.

    *Kicks Final Blade*....*kicks again*

That was REAL! In MGS on the Playstation, you needed to change ports on your PS1 to beat him. Though apparently you can shoot the statues to make him vulnerable for a moment...

Yeah, at first I was like "Damn, maybe THAT is why the bundle comes with 2 controllers?"

But yeah, apparently a fake...But I honestly wouldn't put it past Kojima to do this sort of stuff >_>

If someone shows the article to Kojima, I wonder if he'll be like "Damn, wish I thought of that!"

Haha. Wouldn't want to show it to him though ... He might delay the game just to include something like this.

      - - - - -

Tbh, I'm a bit disappointed that this article turned out to be fake. I would love to see something new implimented with the controllers... and MGS4 is perfect for something like this.

Having Psycho Mantis screw around with the controller, TV, and memory card in MGS1 was fantastic. It's a shame that similar ideas weren't used for MGS2 and MGS3 (and possibly MGS4).

Wouldn't that have been cool if it was used. Such an interesting way to think of the game, and how to accomplish a goal. By actually changing the console or game physically.

How does changing ports make him not be able to read your "thoughts"?
