GamesRadar takes a look at twelve potential flaws in GTA IV and consider why no amount of hype can overlook these problems and cause gamers a lot of disappointment when they got so excited about the game only to find out it's not as good as they thought it would be. You've heard the hype. Grand Theft Auto IV is going to be amazing... monumental... revolutionary... life changing... world altering... universe shifting... the best game of the year, if not the best thing in the history of EVER.
Or is it...?!
Well, yes, probably. GTA IV, however, won't be perfect. Article is more of a 'reality' piece, and counter to potential negative talk when it comes out, not an anti-GTA piece.
I suppose it's good to know this beforehand, all games have their ups and downs.
I always liked knowing in previous games that at the end you will be King
I still can't wait for this game.
In the end, all they said was that GTA IV is different. Actually isn't that the whole idea of IV? "Things will be different." People can cry and bitch all they want about change, but I do not want to play the same thing over and over. I think it would be a terrible shame for the first GTA on these monstrous consoles to be nothing more than a rehash of its past iterations, with better graphics. Thats the whole reason I was highly disappointed with Devil May Cry 4; it felt like the exact same game as before. However, look at what Call of Duty 4 did. While it is still a FPS with the same basics, they finally stepped out of the WWII box and truly opened up a slew of new options and possibilities. But I'm going somewhere else with this. From everything I have read, I would be surprised, to say the least, if GTA IV disappointed me.
I used to love flying around in my jetpack in San Andreas, landing in some random forest or desert in the middle of nowhere, finding an abandoned trailer home, and searching for bigfoot in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Now with GTAIV: there's no jetpacks, forests, deserts, or bigfoot.
