Rumor Time: Metal Gear Headset to be released with Metal Gear Solid 4?

This would indeed be interesting and a sign that either you're a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid... Or you just have $60 US lying around and just want a cool Bluetooth headset. This hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's still out there and even though the images look convincing enough that this might be true, I'm not really willing to say it's anything more than a rumor at this point. For those of you who are interested in the specs, the highlights are:

- 8 hrs talk time

- 160 hrs standby

- 30' range

It's official, it's in production and it is on shelves by the game launch on June 12th.


I've been working with contacts over at Konami and manufacturers in Asia to develop the licensed Metal Gear accessories for several months now. You are looking at the Solid Works renderings of the licensed headset which is being mass manufactured right now and will be available at game launch for $59.99.

      I'd say the only MGS-like aspect of it is the "Metal Gear Solid 4" on the headset. Otherwise, it looks exactly like my Bluetooth headset for my cell phone.

      Avalith Edit: Scratch that. I just took a look at the details on the headset; I was focusing on the shape at first.

    I do need a headset for the PS3...so I wouldn't mind it coming along with the game. Already got the LE pre-ordered.

    that would be nice if it went all the way round and it covered your eye with black tinted plastic lenses

    so it looks like the solid eye basically.

    Looks Preety Sicknasty. The real question for me is if you could use it with the game for online. If not oh well i might/might not get it.
    P.S. i dont have a PS3 im gunna get the MGS4 bundle when it comes out.
