In addition to the BAJA Debut Trailer that was posted up on GameGrep just under a week ago, this offers you a look into the New 15 Screenshot Batch that THQ have just offered to gamers which offers a bigger look into car and track details for what they will be offering us, though unfortunately these are not Gameplay graphics.

THQ has released a second batch of in-game screenshots from BAJA, the upcoming buggy racer due in stores this August for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Much like the first batch of 5 screens, this second more robust round of 15 shows off exterior views of the BAJA buggies bouncing through a desert southwest course. Colors are still muted and detail a bit lacking compared to Sony's MotorStorm series, but there's still plenty of time for developer 2XL Games to punch up the presentation before release.

One screen in particular lacking any vehicles references the weather, which will definitely play a role in races. Whether weather will dynamically change during a race remains to be seen.

In BAJA, players will build and then race the ultimate off-road machine over 100 square miles of terrain. Over 40 vehicles will be included from 8 classes including Trophy Trucks, 4x4s and buggies.

Race types will include near-vertical Hill Climb challenges, head-to-head Open Class races, circuit races and the ultimate off-road endurance challenge: the Baja. Races can last up to 4 hours, requiring a good deal of finger stamina to come out on top.

BAJA's multiplayer options include four-player split screen multi-player capability, 12-player online and LAN as well as multiple-screen panoramic view.

Those graphics are pretty damn good.

I can't recall seeing a game like this recently, if ever tbh - or am I just not looking enough? Always good to see a unique game come out.

Take another look. The visuals look quite stale. Go play DiRT and come back to me.

What about Motorstorm? Personally, I don't think the graphics are that great imo. But, actually, races lasting four hours :S Motorstorm meets Gran Turismo perhaps.
