In celebration of the Xbox 360 launches of both Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition and the Variety Map Pack, Infinity Ward will be holding a "LIVE Fire Weekend" from April 19. Expect fun, prizes and the chance to play with developers and celebrities alike.

The weekend kicks off on the 19th with a chance to play with the developers. Members of the IW team will be online from 6-9 PM EST next Friday. Immediately after, the GamerchiX will be on from 9-11 EST. There’s also a Game with Fame event going on from 9-11 EST with three-time Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight champion Jens Pulver. For those who just picked up the Game Of The Year edition, many of the Xbox Ambassadors will be online Saturday to help you learn the ropes.

There’s some pretty nice prize packages up for grabs as well, with one package given away each hour as well as a single grand prize. The hourly prizes include limited edition COD4 swag and 4000 MS points, and the grand prize includes a 360 Elite system and a small assortment of goodies to go along with it. On a slightly sour note, as usual the contest is only open for residents of the US and Canada. It’s a tough week to be a European gamer.
