A 13-year old from Virginia was told to do his chores instead of playing his Xbox. In anger, he broke the vacuum cleaner, hoping this would opt him out from doing chores. Instead, his mom took the Xbox and all his games and put it up for sale online. Before doing that, she checked his cookies and guess what the kid was looking up on the internet? Pornography. Now the kids in trouble. To top it off, the mother pranked his MySpace page by putting a picture of Snoopy as his profile picture. Brilliant, mom, brilliant.

My 13 year old managed to break the vacuum....thinking it would release him from that duty. He also has a list of other chores that were TYPED up for him to do Friday afternoon....one thing on the list was done...mind you these are simple things...empty the trash, clean your room, etc. Then I go thru the cookies on his computer and find out he has been checking out porn sites. Now there is a password so he can't even get on and his my-space page has a picture of snoopy on it now. Apparently I'm the meanest mom in the world, were his words.

I'm a single mom. I can't let them walk over me or I might never get up.

talk about harsh punishment. she should just hide the xbox in her car or w/e instead of selling it. what a waste of money on her part.

Understand the full concept behind this, it means one less 13 year old on Xbox Live.

Yeah what a waste of money, she should have not SOLD the 360 and just used money from her pocket to buy a new vacuum/fix it instead of the money from the sold xbox. What a dumb mom.

Woohoo. Go mom. Teach kids to respect their elders every now and again. Maybe a little far, but I think the kid deserved it to be honest. =/

And maybe not sell it. Give it to a friend and say you sold it.

    That little brat deserved it.

I think that kid needs anger management if he broke a vacuum just to get out of doing chores.

I would never disrespect someone's property like that. He deserved to have his 360 sold.

I hope the mother got a really nice vacuum for it too!

Thank god! That's one less annoying kid taken off of Live.

lol, 13 year old looking up porn?! Shocking I'm truly aghast!

Seriously though, I wonder if he just broke the vacuum like kicked it...or if he like sucked up some shit and "accidentally" broke it. Just seems to me like you could at least make it look like an accident.

I'm with Chris though...what if he's a perfect little angel now and she wants to reward him? If she gets him another 360 she's lost a good chunk of money.

IMO, respect should be earned based on performance not given...I've never bought into that respect your elders bullshit. In this case I think she's earned plenty though...Very impressive deciding to *bleep* with his myspace

Hahaha, reminds me of the time when I was a kid and saturated my supper in pepper to get out of eating it. My mom made me eat it.

Well as slack as it does sound this is outright hilarious. Teaches the kid to do his cores, heck we all have chores and we all have things we like to do. The kid needs to pull his head in.

haha, she actually sounds like a cool mom. Snoopy? lol old school embarrassment, what is now these days that's embarrassing? teletubbies? bob the builder? :S

Anyways, this little brat deserved every little bit of it. I hope she got some new, state of the art vacuum from the funds the kids 360 brought in.

      Bob the builder. xD

That mom sought out justice, and pretty much brought the hammer down, well done with discipline. Parents must take note!

Teletubbies and Barney to be honest. Bod the builder isn't really embarrassing, just stupid.

Thank god this kid leaves the world of online. Its one of the many things i had to deal with playing XBL over my friends house(spoiled, bratty and foul mouth kids). Although it made epic lulz when my friends retorted back at people like him.

You Mother are a legend, teach this kid what respect is all about. If i did that to my mom or to my grandmother i would get the shit beat out of me.

That kid should've just *bleep*ing did his chores and help out his mom, especially because she's a single parent.

This reminds me of a mom that got facebook banned in a whole area because she didn't like her kid interacting on that site. Now that's a horrible move on her part. Her son or daughter is done for and all because of her mom. He or she must be hated all around that area. This is just an example of the opposite of this...sort of.

An eye for an eye. The mum can't use her vacuum cleaner, now the kid can't use his Xbox. Good on her.

The little bastard deserves it. Be grateful, you little asshole. Your mother works a job at least five days a week to pay for your god damn 360. Have the courtesy to lighten the workload at home by vacuuming the house.

It'd take 30 minutes to do the whole house, tops. Then you can go back to your Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4 game and get owned for being a little bastard.

Is his mom still selling it? It's probably cheap.

That's really harsh to sell his XBox 360 and all his games for that.

lol, he broke the vacuum. Little idiot deserves it, tbh.

    StarJet Apr 15, 08
    Poor 360.
    360 > Vaccum Cleaner.
Anyway, that idiot shouldn't have broken the vaccum cleaner so that he can stay off chores. What an idiot.

I wonder if it's still on sale now...

Yeah, but then it's over. This kid now has to earn enough money to get a 360 and his games back.

Probably at least $500 worth of stuff. I'd take an ass whoopin for $500 wouldn't you?

oh shit, I meant to reply to bbb not you riku...use your imaginations gamegrep =P

A bit harsh? If I did anything remotely close to that when I was a kid, my parents would have beaten me within a half inch of my life. This kid got off easy.

This could only be better if she showed up the next day with a dvd for the kid to say she was sorry only for him to be rickrolled when he played it.

Good for her. She's absolutely right, if you let the little bastards run over you, they will continue to do so well into their 20's. Perfect solution to get the money for replacing that vacuum if you ask me.

Lol, now thats a mom! Gotta keep your pimp hand strong on these little devils, your the boss, not them, they need to be shown this or they will think otherwise and do w/e the hell they want.

Finally! A parent that decides to discipline her child without violence! Great job mom! You deserve some type of praise, so here's one from me. Kids these days have no respect. Its time parents started stepping in and showing who's really the boss.

Ha ha ha, if I were that kids mom I would do worse than rid him of his Xbox, maybe I would rid him of his life, or make him eat the worst food I can think of for a few months. His mom is awesome!

Wow, I get 2 thumbs down for giving my opinion on this? I know most of you thinks he deserved it, but I strongly disagree and I honestly think it's pretty harsh. Just taking away his XBox 360 for a little a while would be a better punishment. Yes, he shouldn't have broken the vacuum and looking up porn. But selling his XBox 360, his games and putting a Snoopy picture in his MySpace page is just mean!

      Ncjpr1993 Apr 19, 08
Ncjpr1993 gave you a thumbs up! Not so much that I agreed with your opinion, but it was more because you don't deserve thumbs down for giving your opinion.

WOW this mother is epic. She also screwed over her son quite nicely . The kid deserves it though why would you break the vacuum cleaner to get out of chores. That's just dumb T_T.

Amazing and epic fail at kid for not clearing his history. When you're dealing with shady pages or for general privacy practices (Do you want Johnathan Smith looking at your bank account?), it's always best to keep things clean.

And of course, an eye for an eye. Break the vacumn, you gotta pay for it.

Who doesn't love to see mothers who over react at things? Honestly, there was no need to do this. If you think your children will NEVER look at pornography and get into the "Age Of Rebels", then you are screwed.
