How much does the typical game make? Compare that with what GTA IV will make.

Do you really know how much a typical game will make? Well, the rough estimate is around 10 million dollars, but now the bigger question of the day. How much will Grand Theft Auto IV make? If you're taking a wild guess, I bet it's over the 10 million dollar hope. You're right. It's 390 million dollars more. Can you believe that the game will rack in 400 million in merely the first week!? 'Inside sources' from Xbox Focus are expecting. Whether they're out of their minds or the game will blow our minds in sales, time will tell.

As in, this could fund the US military in the Middle East for a few weeks completely. As in, if they had all that money in hundred dollar bills, they could fill up every single office building in a two block radius and still have left over to fill in their new swimming pools and houses. If that's not ridiculous, then your priorities for what is are way off.

    All i wish is that i could have a share in it, that's so much money. I mean there going to profit hundreds of millions atleast, lucky is all i say. Don't we all wish for that much money.

    Well didn't Halo 3 make like $340-360 million in the first week? Not only is GTA more popular, but its a multiplat release. Yea, it does sound like a high estimate, but its not impossible.

      Exactly what I was gonna say. Take what Halo 3 did. Add PS3 owners and you got a pretty good formula.

    And what Take Two are betting on is that this money will get them out of their money troubles, which it easily could. Without money troubles they can fend off EA.

    I don't understand how Take Two could be in such rough financial shape when they have game coming out that could get half a billion dollars over the year.

      Pretty simple, since they used alot of money to make Manhunt 2 and it didn't get released in area's and how its been toned down, well they lost lots of money there.

      And since they had to delay GTA4 from its original Release date and the amount of money put in to making this game and MH2 than you can pretty much see how they are in rough shape. Thats why they needed to make GTA4 multiplatform to rebuild the money they lost.
