Reports from Future Publishing's CVG GTAIV magazine are claiming that the new down-loadable content that will become available for the Xbox 360's version could be as big as a New City which of course will expand the whole game including new missions that will be available for users to do.

Boston (dbTechno) - According to reports from the Future Publishing’s CVG GTA IV magazine, the new Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content on the Xbox 360 could greatly expand the game. The rumors running rampant right now are that the exclusive Xbox 360 DLC for GTA IV will include a brand new city for the game.

Future Publishing put out their CVG GTA IV special, with the magazine focusing in on the biggest gaming release of the year on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

CVG states that the downloadable content coming to the Xbox 360 version will be as big as the entire releases of GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas.

This equates to an entirely new city being added to the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV.

The magazine stated “GTA IV is set to completely redefine the idea with expansions that are to GTA IV what Vice City or San Andreas were to GTA III. Yes, Rockstar is clearly hinting at new downloadable cities.”

“GTA IV’s Liberty City is the beginning. Think about that and be excited.”

I'm more interested in it's price. Likely to be the usual 800 points. Still, fair game for me.

Oh hell no dude. The extra content is likely to cost as much as episodic content for other games(1200 points). But if it's a whole new city it could be as high as the Shivering Isles add on for Oblivion(2400 points). But hey if the content turns out to be that big, it's worth the price.

Consider they DID say that the episodic content would add 10 hours of new gameplay. That's a lot.

That's like, as long as Half Life 2. Valve should take some lessons from rockstar.

Yeah but that was a whole new game. Those episodes would have been great as an add on.

I see. No biggy, whether it's as much as 2400 points or as little as 800, I'll get it.

I wonder if it will be an actual city, or if they'll just have the outskirts of LC for download, like a forest and lakes and mountains and stuff. They said there wouldn't be any "dead" areas, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't do it in an update/download.

But a new city? Wonder what they could come up with. I doubt VC. But if so, that'd be very impressive.

Would be a great feature for the 360 version to have. Wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft payed about 20 million for this.

This has been talked about before. It's not a new city, or a new island, the DLC is supposed to be as big as San Andreas or Vice City in that it will add a bunch of missions that MAY add as much time as it would take to go through the main stories of those games. I don't remember where, but I remember reading that Rockstar has said they won't be adding a new area.

I would hope for a new portion of city or something. If I had to chose between a city and missions, it would be missions.

If there is to be any sort of extension to the setting in the content it's probably just going to be that. Not a whole new city.

So this is only for the Xbox, no sign of it for the PS3??

Sony have not paid for exclusive DLC, so probably not.

IT won't come to the PS3 anyway, MS paid 50 million dollars for both these DLC and Its exclusive rights. So the PS3 Will never get any sort of a DLC like 360, but they could end up with extra vehicles and stuff like that.

I want to hear it from R*s or MS's mouth not from articles. so until then, im not taking it with a grain of salt.

It would be a neat feature if the city had the odd new vehicle in it. that would be cool, a nice treat for the people that DL it.
