Amongst yet another Soul Calibur IV preview, Gametap revealed the first title (well, technically second if you count Soul Blade) will be headed to Xbox Live Arcade sometime this year.

There were no details as far as pricing or a specific release date, but it was announced that all the characters and modes from the original game would remain intact; there will also be leaderboards, so you can track your button-mashing abilities against the rest of the world.

I can't count how many times I went over to my godbrother's house to play this game on his DreamCast. Will definitely be picking this up. I'm sure it'll be released before IV, so sometime before July 29th, 2008.

Sucks that the PSN won't have this, it would be nice to play the original.

No i rather not. I want it to be on the PSN, its not fair that the XBLA only has it.
