The Darkness Sequel?

tidus04 | April 20, 2008 | News | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
In a Top Cow discussion panel in this weekends New York Comic-con function, it was "winked" about that the games new owners 2K Games were currently in the works of creating a sequel to the acclaimed title The Darkness. Nothing further was announced about the title but at least a small but not solid sign of it happening is better then nothing, right?
Originally licensed by Majesco, but sold off to 2K Games, The Darkness is based on Top Cow's comic book series, and developed by Starbreeze Studios. Knowing its background it comes as no surprise that during the TOP COW discussion panel at this weekend's NY Comic-con, it was revealed that The Darkness 2 is in the works, "We can't say Darkness and video game sequel in the same sentence, so Darkness. Wink. Sequel."

Hopefully its as decent as the first one. Sometimes sequels tend to get worse. Hope we see some trailers soon.

The Darkness was one of the most underrated games last year.

I'd definitely consider purchasing a sequel.

I wouldn't say it was underrated. It was fairly known imo and it got fair reviews.

Darkness did have a really good storyline though, all the way till the ending.

I heard some bad things about the first, but I might check this one out when it comes out.

Not only is sequel spelled incorrectly in the title, it would be a sequel to The Darkness, not The Darkness 2.

Who checks these articles before they go up?

edit: I see it's been fixed now.

If the demo is anything to go by from the first one this one needs to have a good few changes in it to get me interested more though hopfully 2K can do a better job of it.
