Nintendo developer and inventor of Wii Fit, Shigeru Miyamoto, has recently expressed his concern over the success of Wii Fit in North America, citing the family-orientated play it encourages in Japan compared to the number of single parent families in the west.

In something that probably has relevance to Japan's social structure more than anything else, Wii Fit inventor Shigeru Miyamoto has expressed doubt over how the game will fair in the US, where single parent families exist in much greater numbers.

Use this to your advantage, Miyamoto! Picture this advertisement: Single parents might want to get back into the dating game, and what better way to encourage them to 'look more appealing to the opposite sex' than to lose some pounds using the Wii Fit? Different marketing for different customers, Miyamoto! XP

I actually LOLed at your comment. If the Wii Fit can make single parents into dating again, I'm sure it will be considered Game of the century of something.

      LOL, thumbs up.

I don't think this should be too much of a problem here in the U.S. I think the $90 price tag is more of a problem. (should have been $80)

I don't understand how having a single parent affects the family oriented feel of the game. You and your single parent can still play as a family T_T.

But GG there's always the chance the Single Parents don't want to date anymore.
