The game to follow up Pokemon Diamond and Pearl

Diamond and Pearl may be running strong, but it looks like the next game to be out will come later this year. That much was implied by Japan's CoroCoro magazine's latest issue, which had listed a time-line of the past Pokemon handheld titles.

The magazine didn't give out any more details, but it did note that more details will come on May 15th about the newest addition.

Start thinking up that stone name that will be the name of the game.

According to the latest issue of CoroCoro, details on the follow-up title release to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS are expected to be revealed in next month’s issue — on sale May 15th…

From the image above we can see a listing, or rather a timeline of all past Pokemon handheld titles, including Red/Green, Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire, and Diamond/Pearl — with Blue, Crystal and Emerald also shown in parenthesis. However there’s a gap open for 2008. Be sure to check back once more details are announced.

    Well that's good to know, i always much prefer the 3rd edition of the game to the other 2 games i nevery trio. But i hope they add in some new things and spice it up abit.

    I'm pretty sure it should be Pokemon Snap 2 =D. but seriously, Pokemon Opal or Amber would pretty much rock.

    Sounds saucy, but I think they're running out of colors and jewels in the game titles. Pretty soon they're going to use all the elements on the table.

    LOL, Pokemon Hydrogen. At first I though this meant the next gen of Pokemon, but its just the third D/P game. I wonder what it will add.

    I can't wait to see what this is. I've always liked how the third game has a lot of extra bonuses in it.
