Publisher Aksys, known lately for the release of Hoshigami Remix, will be putting out a new RPG for Nintendo's handheld, titled "From The Abyss". The game will come from a pretty new developer, Sonic Powered, a Japanese company who've worked on just two titles: Air Traffic Chaos and MiniCopter: Adventure Flight. So far, it looks decent at worst, and much in the vein of the upcoming Summon Night: Twin Age.

Aksys Games announced today that it will release From the Abyss, an action RPG for the Nintendo DS, in North America in the fourth quarter of 2008. Developed by Sonic Powered, From the Abyss offers randomly generated worlds to explore, character customization options that affect a player's "powers and destiny," and a two-player wireless co-op mode.

"From the Abyss can be enjoyed by people who are new to the action RPG genre but challenging enough for experienced players alike," said Nobara Ogawa, project lead at Aksys. "Regardless of your skill level, you?ll find yourself enthralled in the abyss."
