After the 'hoo ha' over the accidents caused by the Wii and Wii Sports after its launch in late 2006, Wii Fit Chat takes a look at the types of Wii Fit-induced incidents that will cause a similar media backlash.

Following the Wii's launch at the tail-end of 2006, the videogames and mass media alike were abound with stories of gamers smashing windows, televisions and other gamers' faces.

The game's inventor, Shigeru Miyamoto, recently admitted that there'd been "relatively few" similar incidents with Wii Fit, but Wii Fit Chat reckons there's a lot of potential for the following in the next few months. Painful stuff...

the kind of people who play wii fit are the kind of people that need to be wearing a helmet to put their shoes on.

    this doesn't surprise me.

Because she likes getting the shit knock out of her as long as she plays on the Wii. I mean no one is that crazy.

Because the person who jabbed her in the eye with a Remote is saying, "Smile for this photo I'm posting on the Internet or I'll do the same to the other one."

This is why there is a warning at the beginning of every game stating you should play in a large enough room, and not be so close to other people or surroundings etc.

    Anywho, this is pretty hilarious.

I fail to see how you can injure yourself that badly with a game.

Akashi, I believe that is from the scuffle to get a Wii, not an actual game.

Wow, utter fail to see someone get so into a game that they knock themselves out. Seriously...

It's the person's fault if they hurt themselves, not a game.

    Lol.

I dunno, I got punched in the face by some idiot who didn't realize they don't have to move their feet when they play tennis...*sigh*

I didn't bruise or get a blackeye or anything. Honestly, if I looked like that from a wii game I'd...well I'd have to kill myself.
