PS3 GTAIV Doing Better Than 360 Version In Australia

After Microsoft had been reported trash talking, it seems the PS3 is going better with pre-sales than the XBOX360. Most people including myself thought that since the 360 version will be receiving extra features, that the sales will be better. It turns out that the sales were neck to neck but it seems the PS3 is still pulling through. Whats you opinions on the matter?

When Microsoft announced its multimillion deal with Rockstar for exclusive downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV, many predicted that this would provide a significant incentive for gamers to choose the Xbox 360 version of the game over the PlayStation 3 version. But Australian presale figures seem to be telling a different story, with major retailers contacted by GameSpot AU today saying that the PS3 version was currently in the lead.

      Well it depends on where in Aus you live.My friend that lives in Adelaide said that his Target could barely sell any 360's.He asked someone in our Target and the woman said that they sold them almost as soon as they received them.

    We need to seriously up the ante with the screening process of what articles get in.

    If I bloody see one more GTAIV 'this version vs that version' article, I'm more than likely to go on a flame-trip.

      Yeah, I think the fire estinguisher was brought out, though.

      This comes to no surprise. M$ haven't been the most helpful company in Australia, neither have the reports for their 360 console.

    Sony isn't much better in Aus.Sony always seem to love screwing us Aussies and the Europeans (seeing as we basically get everything the same as them.

    Who gives a Flying *bleep*. I mean the DMC4 was the same shit, but it doesn't really matter now does it?
    What matter is are you happy with the version you got and are you enjoying the game.

    So a box going to walmart busted open today at work (I work at fedex) and I couldn't *bleep*ing believe my eyes. There were a bunch of loose copies of GTA for the PS3, and underneath that was ANOTHER box, and the packing slip said there were both xbox and ps3 games in the overall package. What this means is that the 360 games are being taken care of much better than the PS3 ones, I could have easily stolen all the PS3 copies. Obviously whoever packaged this knows that the 360 is going to outsell the PS3 version and was taking extra precautions to make sure ALL of the 360 games made it to the store.

      No I just find it funny that somebody found ONE country that it was doing better in and felt the need to post this. From what I've seen it seems as though the 360 version is predicted to sell more and I wasn't even going to say anything because I don't care but all these gamegrep articles are good for some lols so I figured I'd piss some people off.

      This is the greatest idea I've ever heard. All this is is fanboys going at each other and a few neutral people just getting frustrated. In the end I will probably play through the game on both consoles so I really just like sitting back and lolling at everyone.
