"GTA IV meant to be played on the PS3!" - Sony promotes using Amazon

Amazon is being bribed by Sony to promote Grand Theft Auto IV for the Playstation 3, specifically. "Play GTA IV in all its glory on the Playstation 3" is the exact quote. Before, this used to toggle between the Xbox 360, but the update confirmed that it was a paid campaign by Sony. What's more interesting is that it seems like Microsoft wants to rebel "next week".

Video game retailers don't often take explicit sides in the console wars, and why should they? A retailer makes largely the same money selling a copy of a PS3 game as selling the same game on the Xbox 360. So it struck us as a little odd that Amazon is currently promoting the questionable proposition that Grand Theft Auto IV is "meant to be played on the PS3" on the front page of its Video Games section.

    Lol, GTA IV has brought in so many arguements over it. The usual arguements don't even seem to be as big as which console it's better fit for.

      As that is hardly a reason to not take it serious, they are humans they make mistakes like us.

      Anyway Its not bribing its called a deal to help their version sell.

          Nah. I said sometimes because on the occasion, albeit the rare occasion, final blade has said some stuff that's actually been quite logical. I give everyone equal chance despite their history of stupid comments and I know I've thumbed final blade up a very small couple of times.

          I never said it was. My whole point was this deal wasn't a bribe and the playsation mistake, was barely a reason not to take it serious.

          MS is doing the same thing, and its to increase sales for their systems. I never said this game was meant to be played on one system. I don't see how you got that out of my comment?
