Lead designer Mark Pacini, engineer Jack Mathews, and art director Todd Keller, who were all seniors of the company Retro Studios have moved one. These three people were some of the main people involved in bringing you the Metroid Prime Trilogy. The reason for them leaving is not yet known.

It is also rumored that the three may make their own development studio, but that is still up in the air and yet to be seen.

April 23, 2008 - Retro Studios is beloved for producing three excellent Metroid Prime games. A rumor was sparked on the Internet earlier today that three key members of the Retro staff have left the company. IGN has confirmed this to be true: lead designer Mark Pacini, engineer Jack Mathews, and art director Todd Keller are no longer with Retro.

The reasons for their departure aren't clear, but Retro Studios will continue working on Wii software. The developer is not shutting down. It is possible Pacini, Mathews, and Keller are planning on starting a new studio, but that is pure speculation.

Retro was founded back in 1998 in Austin, TX. It is a wholly-owned, first-party developer for Nintendo.

I was hoping for one more Prime a something, but if others were to come in and take over to make another one, I doubt it will be the same. =/

Well if any of you have completed Metroid Corruption with 100%, you will know that the ending leaves it open for another future game. I just hope that this future game will still be released.. and still done by Retro Studios, since they are fantastic developers.
