Daily Mail: Dance mat games more useful than Wii Fit

shuandrew | April 24, 2008 | News | Wii
In a review of Wii Fit in which British newspaper the Daily Mail has roped in the expert opinion of a personal trainer, he states that dance mat-based games such as Dance Dance Revolution would offer more of a physical workout than Nintendo's latest piece of kit.
Ahead of its release in the UK tomorrow, British newspaper the Daily Mail has been putting Wii Fit through its paces, the help of the head of a personal trainer firm, Tim Jones.

Jones is critical of the £70 GBP piece of kit, particularly in terms of its benefits in weight loss and muscle toning, even going as far to say that dance mat-based games such as Dance Dance Revolution would offer more of a physical benefit.

I agree, in 30mins of DDR, you burn like close to 1000s calories. And its fun. I have to admit i played it before, even though i suck, it gave me a great workout.

It does look like you would get more of a workout playing DDR than Wii Fit.
