Madden '09 Coverboy?

Synergized | April 24, 2008 | News | Company
It's 2009 which marks the spot for the 20th anniversary of the Madden franchise and the year that Brett Favre is retiring so why not use him as a coverboy? For the past few years, Electronic Arts has used late shows to host the announcement of the who is going to be on the cover of the next Madden game and Favre is expected to be on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight(whereas the official announcement is going to be tomorrow), thus, it would only seem likely that Favre is the one. The release of the game is on August 12th.
According to the Facebook page for Madden NFL 09, the cover athlete is expected to be announced on April 25. Moreover, a quick check of the CBS schedule for Late Show with David Letterman shows that Favre is going to appear as one of Dave's guests tonight (April 24). For the past few years, EA has used late-night shows to announce the Madden cover. Last year Jimmy Kimmel's show was used to announce Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young for Madden 08.

Is he going to be crying on the cover? That would be cool.

Brett Favre on the cover of Madden 09 would be amazing. It'd be a great send off to the best football player of our generation, if not of all time.

But I'm too tired to stay up for Letterman. Oh well, I'll DVR it.

It's still showing him and his great career respect. First player to ever be put on the cover of Madden after he retires, just to show that even after he retires no one in the NFL can even touch him.

Not to mention that it's just a matter of time before his jersey is retired and he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame, anyway.

This mentality that he's the greatest quarterback ever just holds absolutely no ground.

He's just the most consistently good quarterback that played for a *bleep*ing long ass time.

I'm at a loss for words. I truly thought the Favre cock sucking could not POSSIBLY get any higher, but they put him on the cover NOW? Holy shit. Of course John Madden made the decision. Everybody knows he secretly has a crush on the man.

      LMAO greatest post ever.
Also Favre did stated he would come back if the QB gets injured. Dear lord.

Also He's not the greatest Quarterback ever. Johnny Unitas Is better than this tool. As a matter of fact any Hall of Fame Quarter back is better than Favre. Yea he stays more years to beat Dan Marino's record big whoop, nothing special.
