The popular Playstation Portable game, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has got Japan to ship over 2 million units. This is the first time that any game in the Monster Hunter franchise has gone this far in Japan and it's the second hottest game, following Mario Kart Wii. Now here's hoping for an English version!

Monster Hunter keeps on selling over in Japan. The latest milestone represents a first both for the series and for the PSP: double platinum.

Capcom announced today that Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has crossed the two million mark in Japanese shipments. This is the first time the Monster Hunter series has reached this mark, and is also a first for a Japanese PSP title.

While this is a shipped figure, the title is still one of the hottest titles at retail. The latest numbers from tracker Media Create have it in second place for last week, trailing just behind Mario Kart Wii.

I'm so keen for an English version. I remember playing the original MH game and it was awesome. I haven't played any of the newer ones but if they are anything like the first with better graphics it'll be well worth getting.

These recent games are on the PSP so you can't expect the graphics to be amazing, but the graphics are very good considering that it's on a handheld. The controls run fairly smooth and the game is huge, lasting a very, very long time. I hope you get to try it out on the PSP one time. I would suggest going for MHF2 before MHF though since you'll be disappointed with MHF due to the fact that MHF2 is way better with double the amount of things to do.

Have to remember that the number is shipped. Media Create has the actual LTD around 1.7 million. I'll have the writeup of this week's Media Create later today.

We better get this one. I'm 100% Sure that Monster Hunter is just as popular here as it is in Japan.
