Remember this? But wait, what's this? Kojima now says that he is quite satisfied with MGS4. Though that's what everyone expected him to say about MGS4 which is going to be quite a good game, that expectation was blown apart. Is he trying to remedy his not-so-wise words?

NOTE : This quote is from the alternate source. Original source is Spanish.

Well this is a U-turn in opinion for the ages. In a recent interview (warning: español) with Spanish wesbite Meristation, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series has gone on record to say he is “very satisfied” with the game and that consumers will be too come June 12th.

Kojima may be doing his best to remedy recent stories which reported him saying that he felt the game was “just one step” out of the ten he and his team hoped to make. The news was taken to be Kojima’s dissaproval of the game and made alot of people start asking questions about what kind of game we could be expecting in June.

In the new interview Kojima has put his earlier grievances into context, “The media in which we have worked is the Blu-ray dual-layer” offering 50GB worth of space, this has been more than enough for other games to date, “I must say that if it had benefited from more time and space, [we] would have included a greater amount of content, such as more levels and characters.” Well ofcourse you would.

What? Now I'm confused. Just the other day he was saying that he believes MGS4 isn't "revolutionary" and such, now this?

I'll likely believe this interview, you're better off being satisfied with your accomplishments rather than worry about how successful it would be. If it's anything like his other MGS games, we're in for a treat.

I don't care what he thinks, I just want to play the damn game already.

*bleep*ing exactly what I was going to say. I really don't care what inner conflicts Hideo deals with. I just know I want the game.

Really not too hard to guess what happened.

I'm guessing a few weeks ago he was thinking about all the shit he wanted to do, add, and accomplish. So he was kinda feeling a bit down.

Then as he stepped back and looked at the work as a whole and what he's done with it he realizes that the good heavily weighs out the bad...

My theory...I've felt that way about a few things in my life.

That does make sense Seproth. It is his last Metal Gear Solid project after all, wanted to make it the best, gou out with a bang...now that I think about it, I would have likely felt the same way.

He doesn't have to worry. According to all the previews, Hideo Kojima is sure gonna go out with a huge bang.
But honestly, all his "OMG! BluRay disc ain't enough!! NOOO!!" crap was a bit too dramatic, wasn't it?

Right now i don't see MGS4 toping GTA4, in terms of ratings. Right now its all 10s across the boards for both version stating its a REVOLUTIONARY By IGN of all people who gave it a 10/10, for both versions. Don't believe me go to the GTA4 forum. If this is true than i think we have our GOTY already.

But as we know he was just thinking far too much instead of what he had. Its still going to be a great game. Hell i wouldn't be surprised if somehow this gets perfect(10/10) scores as well.

Irrelevant. Who the *bleep* was comparing it to GTA in the first place?

That's like comparing apples with lemons. Two completely different games. Two completely different gernes and atmosphere. Both are going to be great on their own terms.

If MGS4 doesn't get a 10 at least out of one decent review site, I'll eat my hat.

Its not, this game is said to be also revolutionary, but i question if it can pull it off. I mean GTA4 literally upped its game. I never said this game was shit, just stating that this game might not be the GOTY as some thinks, But from GTA4 it seems that is the GOTY already.

1.You haven't played GTA yet. 2.There are a lot of other big games coming this year, so we have nothing to compare GTA IV to. 3.These perfect scores don't automatically make it game of the year. 4.None of this is relevant to anything in the article.

A game that's a few days away, compared to a game that's two month's away. It's easy to assume at this point that GTA is a GOTY contender, what with it's anticipation, great reviews and such, but that's not fair to MGS4 in the least bit. The week before June 12th will likely be big as well, and who knows, you may be singing a different tune, Final.

          1. People already have played this game so i do think they know what they're talking about.
          2. Yes there is, but i was clearly talking about the revolutionary part.
          3. Read number 1.
          4. Its relevant cause many people claimed this to be MASSIVELY huge. Listen im not saying MGS4 will suck, im comparing to the scores. Before the scores were released, everyone stated GTA4 will be nothing and MGS4 will be better. While they are different in some area's, that doesn't mean this game will be all 10 across the boards. GTA4 got ten for everything molding together as one. Take out one feature and it won't be the same GTA4 experience. Your taking my post and point out its original intent.
