Following the news of Paper Mario being dug up from the archives of the Nintendo 64 and brought to the Nintendo DS, it got the team at Nintendic thinking about what other potential classics could and should make the transition to the portable platform. So head inside for a quick selection of titles that would be ideally suited to the dual-screen system…

"...considering the vast array of classics available on the Nintendo 64, and how the Nintendo DS is pretty much comparable to that console in terms of sheer horse-power, it is quite shocking that Nintendo has not been quicker off the mark with the resurrection of more 64-bit games."

Resident Evil 2 to be remade on the DS? That's awesome. I'll look into getting that for sure. The others look pretty decent too. Nice to hear

WHY did the above post get thumbed down? Are you saying something that someone likes to see happen is wrong?

      Jesus its freaking annoying.

      Interesting read.

I'm assuming(since it's not thumbed down anymore) that they were thumbed down for making it seem like RE2 is, in fact, going to be remade on the DS.

As opposed to something they'd like to see.

If you didn't read the story and just looked at the comments. Which I do first anyway. You'd probably get excited to hear the news.

Anyway, my point is that it's not unreasonable.

I thumbed him up, cause his post was good.
He used a question mark meaning its up for grabs, and then he said that's awesome. People need to stop abusing the damn Thumb feature.

What? Not even a mention of Smash Bros?

If anything we deserve Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie! :X

theundertakergonzo, it's a speculative article, not something that is definitely going to happen. But many have said they reckon Capcom would be foolish to not bring RE2 to DS in some form or other.

Alvaroduck, Smash Bros. on Virtual Console would be better, surely, with a brand new Smash Bros. being made for DS instead, no?

Perfect Dark and Ogre Battle. Yes please. I may actually get a DS if games like that come out. Paper Mario would be pretty damn cool as well.

No Ocarina of Time? What were they smoking?

I am practically drooling at the thought of Paper Mario/Ogre Battle/Perfect Dark making it to the DS. You hear that, Nintendo? DROOLING. Perfect Dark wont make it though because of Microsoft's acquisition of Rare. Tragic.

The touch screen and battle menus/actions for Paper Mario..it just makes so much sense. Yummm.

I say gut the soccer game and Mischief Makers, and like Sonic Flash said, put Ocarina in there, and maybe Majora's Mask. Annd yeah, maybe Smash Bros. too, though I think they could pull a Melee port off (they did Metroid, they can do *bleep*king Melee).

Ocarina Of Time Needs to be on the DS.
I would say it would only sell millions of copies.

This would be a great thing... if they hadn't invented VC first, most of the good games are already taken.

Though, I can think of a couple of Gamecube games which would be great for 're-making', Metroid Prime comes to mind.

That's why I tried to select games that hadn't been on the Virtual Console already...just to try and make the article a bit more interesting

And apologies to anyone that didn't realise the article was just 'ideas' for what should/could come to DS from the N64!
