Thats right, Microsoft have come out and announced that they believe that they have sold over the 19 Million barrier for their Xbox 360 Consoles on a worldwide scale (though other figures have suggested it is less though this applies to the Wii overall sales as well) which keeps them close on the tails of the Nintendo Wii which is storming in front on sales.

Ever since the Nintendo Wii overtook the 360 as the number one current gen console, Microsoft has been kept busy trying to spurn new interest in its love child. Even with the PS3 gaining momentum as of late, the Xbox has done quite well overall with an estimated 19+ million units sold worldwide since release.

While some figures put both the 360 and the Wii at lower numbers, there still seems to be a considerable gap between both of these consoles and the total installed base for the PlayStation 3 so far.

Nevertheless, with all three consoles finally offering a fairly rich listing of hit titles, it is likely that the games rather than the console features will make or break the trio. Or not? Yet another trend we keep seeing more and more is owning at least two out of the three consoles.

I would lol if they were lying so people buy more. But the 360 is a great console, so I had expected it to have sold a lot.

I doubt that this would really effect hardware sales at all.

      Plus they cant lie.

Is there a definitive site to see hardware and software sales? because it seems like every time a company comes out with an announcement, the numbers on sites are off.
