Eight Days gearing up to "full production"

Linkin Park Fan | April 28, 2008 | News | Playstation 3
Its been, well almost two years since we have heard any news on the game Eight Days. And after a long time of silence and some worries that the game was abandoned, we have a little light shed into this game that is Eight days. Sony London studio (same team behind The Getaway) said that they have full production on the game. Makes you wonder what they were doing the past 2 years?
According to reports from The Guardian, Sony’s London Studio has confirmed that development of the highly anticipated PlayStation 3 title, Eight Days, is currently "ramping up to full production.”

The studio is also working on the PS3 version of The Getaway, which is currently in pre-production stages until work on Eight Days is complete.

Phil James, Eight Days Senior Producer, commented, "The idea is to have two pre-production teams and one production team, which flips onto whatever product, at that point of time, is ready to have that team working on it.”

Eight Days was first unveiled at E3 2006, and takes the form of a Third-Person action game with multiple driving sequences spliced in with regular on-foot missions.

Stay tuned.

Possibly behind the scenes politics issues? Game was probably on ice for a while and they just now decided to bring it back.

I'm assuming we won't see this game for a loooong time, but I must say, it looks like an amazing game from what that video showed me!
