While officially not official, the response at the moment is that there are no plans for a Dead Rising 2. However, some suspect that they may be planning it, mostly due to the massive profits made with it, and have decided to not publicly announce their intentions.

It seemed like quite a few people liked the game, so they'll probably make a sequel if they think they will profit (which they probably will). They are just waiting to announce it I think. =)

Hmm the game was pretty fun, but I'm not sure how good a sequel would really be, I mean how many different ways can you do the zombie thing. Seems better left as a stand alone title to me.

Dead Rising is one of my favorite zombie games; (and that is saying a lot) =P but as said before I doubt much could change since this type of game is so overdone. It would probably only bring the series down.

It's good if you own an HD tv, try reading the text without one though, it spoiled the game for me unfortunately.
