PS3 GTA IV Suffering Freezing Errors

Some people who have Grand Theft Auto IV on the Playstation 3 have been reporting the game freezing when they try to play it.

This must really suck for people who have just got the game and really want to play it, but can't because it keeps freezing.

small number of PlayStation owners have reported problems with running Grand Theft Auto IV on their consoles, claiming the game keeps freezing.

"I got home from the midnight release with my copy of GTA IV Collectors Edition unpacked it live on the feed installed and guess what, it froze!" said Matt Griffin on his blog PlayStation Network Home. "I tried a couple more times and it even have reinstalled 3 times, it still keeps freezing."

      Yeah, that must be it. Genius. You do know it's the same game in the CE.

        I have no idea how they package these things.....how many different sites produce the discs? Perhaps one site produces only the collector's edition, while others don't. It's obviously not happening to everyone.....same content sure.....same problem, nope.

        Not to mention there were similar problems with Halo 3 Collector's Edition discs only.

    Wonder why? But isn't the 360 version experiencing slight freezing problems as well? I sure hope not. But I feel for anyone who's game freezes. Nothing sucks more than having the game you've been waiting for for years just freeze while you're trying to play...and having it keep freezing.

    7 hours in and still no issues with the game. It sucks for the people experiencing them, especially for this highly acclaimed game.

    Considering this game was made more for the PS3 this isn't a good thing to show that. But that's a let down considering the hyping this game was getting.

    That sucks. I'm sure R* will get right on it, though. My 360 did freeze a bit yesterday, but only because I got disconnected for Live. :S
