Errors plague PS3 GTA IV online

Along with the freezing errors on GTA IV, it has also been reported having online errors. Waiting for Niko's phone to connect, it just disconnects them.

I'm guessing because it is so new everyone is trying to connect.

It seems the PS3 version of GTA IV is having a few online issues as hoards of PS3 gamers hit the internet to complain.

According to their rants, dialing up the multiplayer mode on Niko's usually trusty mobile phone keeps them waiting as the game attempts to connect, before giving them a text message that reads: "Cannot connect to game provider, please try again later."

Of all the games to break, it should really not be this one.

Rockstar was unavailable for comment at the time of writing, but is said to be looking into the problem.

    Haha, unlucky again, huh? Me and my brother just played a couple of multiplayer games right now, from Team DM to Cops N' Crooks.

    I had that problem yesterday but I've been having no problems at all today. To me it's not a huge deal, there's so much gameplay to be had offline that I can easily hold off on the multiplayer.

      Which is why im not going online yet. I want to unlock the area's and stuff before attempting to go online.

    Yeah, it's probably just the large amount of players going online, just like when Brawl first released it was hard to get online with random people.

      or MGO, that was a nightmare
      atm, MP isnt such a huge concern for me, im still making my way thru singleplayer, with the odd game on the side

    I've only decided to try and get online once.I couldn't get online and I haven't felt the need to try again.

    The single play is keeping me very entertained so I'm not worried about not being able to get online yet.

    Not a huge problem. With this game just released, so many people are trying to get on at the same time and all that. After the first week or so, it will calm down. Plus, you still have a chance. It's not like it's a 0% chance that you can get online. Plus, single player is something to do in the meantime.

    Prolly just a server issue.

    I really think whoever made the article title was in a bad mood. "Plagues PS3 online!" Oh ya. Plague.

      Then I guess people should avoid it like the plague.

      Anyway, like said, this has to be something due to overload of servers or something like that. Everyone wants to play.

    I haven't even attempted online yet, I want to actually unlock the 3rd islands instead of just going on free-mode and flying over there
