Ah, Nintendo. You haven't been having much luck in the customer service area lately, have you?
First they refused to announce Brawl's PAL release date, then they blamed gamers for any bugs that Brawl had, they also limited certain controllers in Mario Kart Wii, and let's not forget their Brawl shortage fiasco.
Despite their games untimately selling well, there have been a few hitches along the way. So what now? Well apparently there have been many complaints about Nintendo's Wi-Fi (from laginess to the annoying friend codes)... And what was Nintendo's response? - "Different services do things differently"
In other words, "too bad if you don't like it".
Kotaku's response ... "Think you mean 'different services do things better'".
Do you hate Nintendo's online setup for the Wii? OK if you do. It's too slow, too cumbersome, too...impersonal. But that's OK! Because it's not for people like us. NoA's Eric Walter explains:
quoteDifferent services do things differently. Nintendo's three goals for Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection are to make the service free, easy and safe. These goals are there not just for young players, but also older ones and new players. Nintendo is bringing a lot of new people into the world of video games, and we want to reduce barriers while making the online experience as enjoyable as possible.
Close, Eric. Close. Think you mean "different services do things better".

it works flawlessly. no bullshit friendcodes, easy friend adding features.
but i played MK: Wii right after playing some BRAWL online. 3 MINUTES (at least) on Brawl...3 SECONDS at least to find on mario kart.
they are trying a little at least.
I like Nintnedo in all, but they are starting to stray me away from their stuff towards Sony. If they start losing lots of money, do you think they will change?
