A survey conducted recently by TNS Technology revealed that a fifth of those that they questioned said that they were willing to cancel their Gym Membership in favour of exercising on their Wii Fit boards.

As if we needed another reason to stay in doors, the Wii Fit sure seems to be doing just that.

A new survey conducted about the Wii has revealed that 20% of 16 to 24-year olds questioned said that they would stop going to the gym in favour of sweating it out while playing the Nintendo Wii, which can only be positive for the upcoming release of Wii Fit in the US.

The Nintendo Wii doesn't get you fit, it just tells you how fit you are... WiiFit is just a bigass scam that looks good with anything from Ikea.

Have you tried it out yet? If you have, fair enough, but if you haven't, don't go around saying it's a scam just like that. I've yet to try it out myself, but I know a couple of people who have it and they say that it's great. Not something worth cancelling gym membership over, but a great addition to keeping fit nonetheless.

As for me, I'll stick with Wii Boxing.. that's tiring enough for me, haha. I play enough sport as it is.

I would much rather stay at home and play a game than go to a gym...maybe a tread mill? Boxing is great though

I agree with joshthegreat. Its just a scam to make anything you have look good. Its stuff like that promotes people to stay indoors than to get up and walk a couple of miles that actually helps you get fit.

Its mind boggling how People only buy Wii's for Wii sports and Wii fit when people like me would like to get a Wii for games, yet its always sold out. Its messed up. And i really do hate those people.

I can't believe that people would even think about doing that, that is rediculous. It's not like it's going to make you overly fit, cut and buff like the gym does. Honestly pathetic.
