A mysterious timer has appeared on the GTA2 website, timer saying 22nd May 2008... what could the date be for? Well one rumour going around the internet is that it's for none-other-than a port of GTA2 to XBLA. However, if it was to go on XBLA, I don't see why it wouldn't also be on PSN, especially since being a PSX Classic, it has more chance to be on the PSN than XBLA... What do you think?

Just to let you guys know, that whilst the clock counts up, the minute hand doesn't actually change, it's the date that's interesting as shown by the alternate source.

There were already reports months ago that GTA 1 & 2 and Street Fighter Alpha were coming to the PlayStation store. XBLA never ven crossed my mind, and I couldn't imagine why it would be on there instead of PSN.

Maby the $50 million MS spent had something else thrown into the mix?

That'd be really sad / pathetic if that was the case.

As far as the PSX classic goes, the PC made GTA the hit it was, only later did it arrive on the console. I guess people like laying credit to Sony more than the PC though =P

Why would it be sad and pathetic?

It would mean MS get all the exclusive content PLUS gta 2 on the arcade.

Cause its unrealistic. MS paid the money for DLC for GTA4 that doesn't include PSX titles.

As for this goes, its going to be on the PS3 more so than 360 i imagine seeming how its a PSX title. A Sony title that is. It makes no sense to add it to another competitor console when it was never a xbox title. Its like an arcade exclusive if you will.

          Final Blade, get some history.

A PSX title? A Sony title? Really just stop being absurd, the level of bias you're spewing is almost too much.

GTA started on the PC, it has always shared the PC platform and guess what, it got banned on the PC platform to begin with from multiple countries. Not the PSX.

Rockstar never forgot their roots, thats why PC gamers have had the games downloadable for free for quite some time now.

Maby it was on the PS1 because MS Were not in the gaming sector then, ever thought of that? As Veg said GTA started on PC which last time I checked ran on a Windows OS.

The DLC may contain this too.

          Gta would be " Downloadable"

You know nothing of the deal, anything could happen.

I do know history thanks VeGiTAX my point was it wasn't on the Xbox system. Thus being a console exclusive. BY the time the other GTA's came out Xbox was already out.

XBLA? Why XBLA? GTA2 was never on the XBOX, right? It would make more sense if it came on the PSN. (And free like they gave the PC version. )

      Why not?

I dont see why everyone is trying to figure out why it would be on XBOX, Why wouldent it?

MGS has been on xbox before. All of the gta's have been on xbox apart from number 1 and two and the only reason for that is because there was no xbox back then.
