Great Games That Weren't

Much like the recent article here about Matt Hawkin's opinions, some fans are not going to like what has been dropped here. Halo, World of Warcraft, Burnout, Gran Turismo, Mario, and Final Fantasy are all once again lambasted, although with a little more thorough information.

There comes a time when you find yourself in the minority as a gamer. Everywhere you look, some game is scoring 9.5 in every magazine and online site and you’re at a total loss to explain why. As far as you’re concerned, the game is a total waste of binary code, not worth the storage medium it stinks up. We all have at least one title we despise that the rest of world thinks is the greatest thing ever created.

The staff here at Game Almighty is no different. Each of us has a secret hatred for a specific game that, until now, has been kept safely hidden away, lest a beat-down occur. Well, we can hide no more. Under orders from the Captain, we were asked to unleash our hatred on sacred games beloved by all.

    After seeing the reactions to the other article, I can't wait to see people's reactions to this little gem. You do have to admit, on a few of the game, the reviewers make good points. =)

    Oooh I read this in a videogame magazine a while back really good points made. ;]

    I must say it's quite awesome to see someone rat on the big titles like Final Fantasy, Halo and even Mario.

    That was a great article, even though I enjoy some of those hated games I couldn't help but really like the article. I agree with some of the hates.

    I actually agree on Grand Theft Auto. If I cheat it can entertain me for twenty minutes, and thats because I love flying but event that always feels so rough and pointless.

    If a game can't at less make flying somewhat rather fun, I consider it a deep disappointment.

    Halo and Mario though, what jokers!

    Some I agree on some I don't grand theft auto has never really been somethign I overly enjoyed, yet I loved saints row which is kind fo similiar.

    "Here it is, plain and simple: Final Fantasy VII sucked."

    I like a few of the series in that article, but the guy who wrote it is a million times cooler because of that line. I hated Final Fantasy VII. There were also a couple games in there that I didn't like either, so it was all cool. =)

    I liked ffvii but I dislike how totally and utterly overrated it is. It was a good game yes...but not a Great game.
