IGN had a poll, asking which classic console readers wished they owned. The most wanted one was the TurboGrafx-16.

  • TurboGrafx-16: 42.6%
  • Atari 2600: 26.3%
  • Colecovision: 9.6%
  • Atari 5200: 6.3%
  • Intellivision: 6.3%
  • Adventurevision: 3.6%
  • Odyssey: 2.6%
  • Vectrex: 2.3%

May 5, 2008 - Another week, another poll. IGN retro recently asked reader to vote for the classic console they wish they owned. The cut-off was the TurboGrafx-16, the straggler of the 16-bit generation. We reached all the way back to the Atari 2600 and included a few of the lesser known names of the era, including the Vectrex and the Adventurevision. The majority of readers picked the Turbo as their desired console of choice. Is that due to its newfound popularity on the Virtual Console?

You really aren't missing anything in regards to any consoles that came before the NES and Sega.

TurboGrafx wasn't bad.. but wasn't it actually 8 bit? Like 16 bit graphics and and a 8 bit processor. I forget. There was some cool games on it though. The Genesis was better though, IMHO.

      TURBOTASTIC!

Ofcourse the TurboGrafx-16 won the poll, it's the only good console people still care about on that list. How come there's no consoles like the Mega Drive or Super Nintendo?
