And to make matters worse, we'll be paying a whopping $110 - $140 on the game! (depending the store you buy it from).
To put that into perspective - The Australian dollar isn't too far off the American dollar ... So we are paying double the price that Americans are paying for one game. And we don't get any special editions or bundle packs. *sigh*
They rope people in by advertising PS3 games going cheap ... but they're never games that anyone wants to buy.
K-Mart is another place that has lately been selling the better-known games for over $100. They're slightly fairer on their pricing then EB Games, but still charge more than they should be.
Heck, EB Games sells pre-owned Wii games for $95-$100. New ones can go for $100-$110+ (Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess are their highest priced Wii games at the moment ... despite Twilight Princess being a few years old).
edit: Here we go ... Metal Gear Solid 4 is going for $120.
edit again: jeez. Just take a look at the GTA IV bundle's price: $750 and that includes a 40gb PS3, a copy of the game and a controller.
I know it is a bit pricey but I reckon it'll be money well spent
The price for games in Australia is BS, and it shouldn't be that much.
I don't know if it has anything to do with where you live but Eb Games here in America doesn't raise prices that high.
