Dedicated Grand Theft Auto IV players will be pleased to know that the "100% Club" contest at the Rockstar Games' Social Club has been extended by a fortnight.

The competition, which challenges players to receive 100% completion in the single player section of the game, will now end May 19. Those who manage to pull off the weighty task will be awarded with a "Key To The City", a limited edition Rockstar Games branded key with a $50 value.

Data is verified via Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, dependant on which console the user is playing the game on. Entrants must be sure to have their online ID linked at the Social Club in order to upload game progress.

Grand Theft Auto IV was released April 29 on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game systems and has so far sold over USD$500 million.

We are extending the 100% Club Contest for an extra two weeks to ensure that everyone has a chance to get in on the action. Stay tuned for further details and keep going for 100%!

I've never got 100% completion on any GTA games. I got to 95% on GTA III before coming across the "Purple Nines" glitch, and that forever has put me off wanting to try, that and a lack of available time.

Well, I feel a little more inclined to push myself to start going for this. Dunno how well it'll go though.

I'm going to try and get this. Granted its going to be pretty challenging and I'll be sick of GTA for a while, but that would be pretty cool. Now that I'm done with school I'll have a lot more time to play.

Just finished the game last night after a week of playing. I was debating whether or not to actually participate in this...

I got 100% last night but I don't have my PS3 online. I hope I get back online before the deadline or I'm screwed.

Ouch, that would be quite a blow. Good luck getting it back man, and congrats to everybody who's done it. Seems far too quick for me, I like too piss about a lot on GTA so the games take me months to do.

Very annoying. I'm not even gonna go for 100%, mostly cuz of Stunt Jumps and Pigeons.
