Top 10 Video Game Controllers of All-Time
18 hours 22 mins ago
The big names Wii games called Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess were reviewed on how useful the Wii mote actually is to use in these games.
Of the games listed Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy were the only two which looked at the Wii mote as a non-positive to the game.
A year and a half after its release, people still can't decide on the Wii's worth. Depending on who you ask it's either a fun alternative to hardcore gaming, an innovative system with a lot of future potential, or a cheap and pointless nonsense box that will bring about the end of gaming as we know it and leave us massively biceped but ultimately very bored. Not quite the clean-cut gaming revolution we were promised a couple of years ago.
But a revolution we were promised. And now that all of Nintendo's main first-party franchises are out on the Wii, we've decided it's time to take stock of just what has actually changed as a result of motion control. Each game is going to get grilled on how improved - or not - it is over its predecessors, and then most importantly, we're going to sum up how big a role the Wii's technology has played in the quality of the final product.
Ready to see how big a deal motion control really is? Then read on.

I've often found myself using the Gamecube controller in games that offer the option, simply because it's easier to use and I have more fun with it.
Nintendo keep going on about how "revoluationary" the Wii's motion control is, but there aren't many Wii games that involve more than "waggling" the Wiimote in front of the screen and, quite frankly, I don't find much fun in that. (and it can pain the wrist after a while).
Great in LoZ:TP and MP3C.
Personally, I really like the last line of the article, and agree with it completly. Motion control doesn't belong in every single Wii game, just like analog control isn't necessary for every game on the planet either. But, when the game suits it, motion controls can add a new level to gameplay not possible with a standard pad.
And Ameer, video games in general are gimmicks. I don't really know what else you expect.
I don't like playing with the GameCube controller or the Classic controller on the Wii tbh, it just makes it seem like any ordinary console. =\
I do think it has helped overall in most games, especially first-person shooters because you actually aim using the Wiimote.
It helps...just because people don't like new challenges presented by new control methods means nothing. The motion control is the main reason a lot of people bought the Wii in the first place
