The most popular pokemon games, Diamond and Pearl are not going to be the best within then next year or so. Nintendo has finally given evidence that their next game, Pokemon Platinum will be making a possible debut within the next 2 years. Although the evidence is slim, it's still has a little to make it true. Looks like Opal won't be happening until after Platinum.

The reason why this is a rumor is because I can’t find the source. Its not very clear on which magazine this is taken from. So until I can figure our where this is taken from, we will just keep this as a rumor.

I've seen and heard of this, there is also a few little other details which have been rumoured aswell. They sound pretty promising aswell and if they do go through i'd be happy.

The pokemon series will create opal, and other stones that aren't as rarely probablu. Most likely not though, but it would be cool if they did more birthstones =)

Well since the series goes on the hand-held system, I doubt that it will be 3D, like Gale of Darkness and Battle revolution.

They move on to noble gasses.

      Pokemon Argon and Pokemon Krypton.

Platinum isn't a stone, anyhow >_> It is a metal, a precious metal....

They have to up the 'value' or at least the rarity factor. You hear about Gold, for example, more than Pearl, so it makes sense pearl came out after diamond.

Stupid logic, but meh, it is pokemon, after all...

After, say, Opal, what is next? Another Metal and rare gem/mineral?

Pokemon Tungsten and Pokemon Jade FTW!

Already been a PokeMon Jade; failed miserably. Hopefully if they make another, people won't go off saying "LOLOL JUS LIEK DAT CRAPPI GAEM?!"

They'll use ores, colours, and then probably other really cool names to get attraction. If not, then they will most likely discontinue the game series. Hopefully not, since the game brings in enough money as it is =P

Nintendo has released the fact they took Jade into consideration.

The ONLY thing I want from Pokemon Platinum is the ability to migrate more than 6 Pokemon a day.

Rumor or not, I'm excited about it. Hopefully we'll learn more about it sometime this year though. It'll be cool to see what else they can add to make this even better than D/P. Maybe some more online modes, or something.

Platinum? I suspect that, if it is real, that it will be a recreation of G/S/C like how FR/LG was to R/B/Y.

    bbb7002004 May 12, 08
Seems more likely it will be an enhanced version of D/P, much like yellow was to R/B, Crystal was to S/G, and Emerald was to R/S.

I think I would actually get this. I've made a point not to get the secondary versions, since they add little new to the original games of each generation, but I have really wanted to play through the game again, but am unwilling to sacrifice all the rare pokemon I migrated to Diamond.

"The most popular pokemon games, Diamond and Pearl"
    When did that happen
    ===
CoroCoro spread rumours before so it may be false but if it's true then, Giratina is the cover legend and appears in it's Origin Form, the male character gets a new outfit, and Regigigas & Shaymin each have new forms (Again though this is all from CoroCoro so the info could be false).

Well I think a 3rd game for Diamond and Pearl will come out eventually, and I wouldn't be surprised if this rumor was true, from what I've heard, the new forms for some Pokemon, an island similar to the battle frontier in Emerald and the Wifi for Underground I think it was sounds pretty good. I'm not going to buy it though.

I knew that games like this were going to be releasing soon, but I never knew the name =P THe game sounded interesting when I first heard about this news, but having it actually comming out is even better.

I heard the game is going to sell a huge amount of copies. Nintendo is going to be more rich =P
