The only gameplay footage we got of Killzone 2 during Sony's Gamer Day was through hand held cameras. And you couldn't hear the game the very well. But You Could hear the people talking. In one of the videos a Sony rep was talking about the game and he happened to mention that each level will take 40-50 minutes to complete. Now we just need to know how many levels there will be.

" I saw Playr this morning too. It's basically the new version of Gamer TV. Made by the same people with the same format but with a different, less nasally, presenter. Airs in the UK on Bravo at the weekend (a satellite/cable channel).

They had a Sony rep demoing KZ2. He spoke about AI advancements although it wasn't abundantly clear that the clips tallied with what he was saying.

Couple of other things though. The dude said there were some new weapons that people would be impressed with. He then cryptically added that we'd see them in the next couple of months. Magazine exclusive reveal or more likely E3?

He also said every level would take about 45/50 minutes to complete "

Now it won't be long before we hear of people dying from over-exhaustion.

Thats pretty long for a level. Saving @ checkpoints are a must I would assume. Otherwise thats a long time for some of us to be sitting playing one level.

The industry needs longer games, unless of course there are only 5-6 levels

I'm all for longer games, but 45-50 mins per level seems excessive. Unless it rolls on in an MGS-like manner.

This is NOT a good thing. You people ever played the PS2/Xbox game 'BLACK'? Fantastic shooting mechanics, superb graphics, brilliant destructible scenery - yet completely let-down by 1 hour levels with NO save points and rare checkpoints. Not fun at all.

Black was nothing more than a tech demo. Thats the reason it failed.

How is a 45 min level any different from three 15 min levels? As long as there are checkpoints, different environments and an advancing plot then it'll be fine

The first game had a balanced checkpoint system, so I'm not worried about this. The longer a game goes, the better.

Agree with Silver Mirror, as long as their are checkpoints I'm fine with it.

Why do I have a feeling that there will be few levels to compensate for this...
