Two Classic Characters Return For Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Reunion

A few weeks ago a Gamegrep article mentioned that there hasn't been any news of an Eternal Darkness sequel since 2006.
Well it looks like fans can now rest at ease. Silicon Knights' Denis Dyack revealed that there is a "strong chance" a sequel will be made. But since Silicon Knights are now a second-party developer of Microsoft, the game will most likely be an XBox 360 exclusive.
Silicon Knights boss confirms at Microsoft's Spring Showcase that a return to the one-off survival horror brand may be on the cards...
"There is a chance; we love all the games we work on. We don't want to be pigeon-holed [into a genre], we want to be known for strong content...There's a strong chance we'll return to it, but there's no announcements yet."
The original title, Sanity's Requiem, launched on GameCube back in 2002, before the studio became a second-party developer of Microsoft Game Studios.

Either way Eternal Darkness is an incredible game can't wait to see the sequel whenever it is made... Should be pretty epic.
I only played the first one a few times and it was funny as hell with all the crazy shit happening. Didn't really get what was going on though. Still, I'd love a sequel on the 360.
For one, Silicon Knights is not owned by Microsoft. They are developing Too Human for Microsoft, but are not bound to them in anyway. In fact, they report on their website that they are also working on a project with SEGA.
Secondly, the Eternal Darkness Franchise is owned by Nintendo. The only way it would appear on 360 is if Microsoft bought the series' copyright from Nintendo.
From Wikipedia:
"In 2005, they partnered with publisher Microsoft Game Studios for the Too Human trilogy, though Nintendo still owns stock in the company.
Microsoft Game Studios (MGS), branded with current logo and moniker in 2002 (formerly the Microsoft Game Division or Microsoft Games), is a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft Corp. which develops and publishes video games for Windows-based PCs and the Xbox and Xbox 360 video game consoles. MGS publishes games for several Microsoft-owned first-party developers, such as Lionhead and Rare Ltd.. MGS has also published games created by third-party developers, such as Bioware and Bizarre Creations as of October 2007."
I dont see this making them at all exclusive or "mostly exclusive", or a "Microsoft studio"..they have a relationship with a publisher called "Microsoft Game Studios", but that doesn't mean they're owned/operated by Microsoft.
