After several months Sony have announced the successor to the recently resigned Phil Harrison president of Sony's worldwide development studios. The man goes by the name of Shuhei Yoshida and has served as a product development producer, vice president of product development at SCE America and senior vice president fo SCE worldwide studios. Will Sony enter a new reign of supremacy under his rule? Or shall he promise the moon and give us dust?

Publisher and PlayStation maker Sony Computer Entertainment has named Shuhei Yoshida as president of its worldwide development studios, effectively immediately.

In his 15 years thus far at SCE, Yoshida has served as a product development producer, vice president of product development at SCE America, and senior vice president of SCE worldwide studios.

Yoshida replaces former SCE studio boss Phil Harrison, who resigned in February for a presidential position at Atari owner Infogrames

    Yea its sad that he left. But i wish this new guy lots of luck and great time with Sony. Same with Phil in the future.

    Phil made a smart choice. I'd have done the same. Loyalty is one thing, but blind loyalty is another. Hate to say it, but dumping the blame on Kutaragi was a bad call in my book, especially since they already estimated all that would happen. Now the PS3's on the rise, yet Ken's pretty much written off.

    Lot of pressure there on this new guy - and when that happens there's often a good chance the new guy's all about serving the company in every way. Hasn't earned my trust just yet.
