Nintendo Wii set to beat Xbox 360's 10 million sales mark

Nintendo have claimed that their latest console, the Nintendo Wii will beat Microsoft's 10 million sales mark set by their Xbox 360. The Nintendo Wii was released in November 2006, and still continues to outsell the other Next-gen consoles, the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360.

The hardware, which sold 714,000 units in April, will likely meet or beat Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 total U.S. unit sales of 10 million in the next two months.

    In my opinion, i think that the Wii is a better console than the Xbox360 but then again the games on the 360 are way better than the Wii's.

    The 360 might get outsold hell the PS3 might do that eventually but i still believe that the 360 will have more games out of a high standard than the Wii and the PS3.

      The Wii's hardware sales pales in comparison to the 360 Software(quality) sales. Thats a fact, and like Donnelly stated the games make the console.

    I think I'm confused as to what this refers to. According to VGChartz and other sites the Wii has a 25 million figure. Is the 10 million figure a "Sales between release and a certain point" kind of thing? The Wii is priced lower than the 360 so it's not a matter of money earned vs sales...

    I hope to god the Wii gets better games, cause right now I only care about 1 games, and everything else doesn't matter.

    But i doubt this will happen, its impossible especially for the Wii.

    What is impossible Final Blade? I have noticed more and more of my friends are getting Wii's online. I can't wait to prove I am King of Karts.

      Ten Million thing DC Sniper was alluding too, and the article.
      I mean yeah its doing great but seriously, its impossible. Each month PS3 and 360 is getting games which are good and making it sell. June i almost see PS3 gaining some huge sales from MGS4, and 360 Gaining a shit load of sales for NG2.
      Im sure Haze will bring in some sales as well.
