The main image of this article should explain everything nicely. To your right is Ivy from the North American version. To your left is Ivy from the Japanese version. Need I say more?

Yes. Shocking. For your submission, the above picture, showing Soul Calibur's Ivy as she's depicted on the game's official website. On the left, how she appears on the Japanese site. On the right? How she appears on the American site. This will not go down well with die-hard fans, Namco Bandai. They're not in this for the swordplay.

    if you really want to see Ivy in her full glory, just search it up on google or something, it doesn't make much of a difference.

    however, letting Japan have a better looking character is a tad unfair

    Meh. It's nothing new. Censorship has always been an issue when games go from Japan to America.

    The only issue is the lack of consistency. Ivy is hardly the most scantily-clad woman in gaming. It seems silly to cover her up when there are other characters in much more revealing outfits.

      I'm pretty sure that Censorship has nothing to do with it. Truth be told, it's backwards. Japan is far worse about censorship in games than American is/has been.

        The Destructoid article was freakin' hilarious.

        Could just be for the site, though?
        I mean, all screens I've seen for the game had no Japanese in them and Ivy was quite revealing. Actually yeah, if you go to the site, it shows her there covered up, but there's footage of her in the background and her tits are hanging out. Hoooray.
        Just in case it will be changed though, all I have to say is: nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

      I agree with Jaseyboy12. It may be genuine, but it doesn't look very good. It looks just like they colored it in a bit, and did a little shading.

    She's in it and that's all that matters.Ivy is my favourite SC character after all.

    This is still ridiculous though.Come on, it's ok to see naked breasts in God of War but not ok to see the lower half of Ivy's cleavage in SC.I wonder if it'll be left in tact in the Eu/Aus version?!

    Oh no... I mean that costume doesn't suit her at all, not that it really matters I buy the games for the storyline... yes that's it the storyline

    But really I don't care as long as she kicks arse
