So, the biggest gaming convention of the year is almost upon us and here is the newest list of companies attending. But big names in the gaming industry such as Activision and Blizzard aren't going to be making appearances at E3 this year. Luckily there will be some equally big names to bring this pot of gaming stew to a full boil. Capcom, Electronic Arts and Take-Two are all slated to be a part of the action.
Activision and Blizzard recently announced that they are leaving the ESA and would therefore not directly participate in this year's E3. In spite of these mammoth departures, the ESA says it remains optimistic about the upcoming July show. However, it doesn't help the ESA's cause that LucasArts also recently left the association, but at least LucasArts is still showing up for this year's event.
To counter claims of E3 being a sinking ship, the ESA noted that attendance is on track to meet the expected 4,000 individuals and has compiled a list of exhibitors coming to this year's E3

Yeah, thats quite a few large groups, on top of this Activision Blizzard is already staging an event during the span of E3 according to word around the industry.
LucasArts leaving the ESA isn't really anything shocking, the company has struggled to re-establish itself over the past years after jumping ship from experimental IP's over the years and running the Star Wars franchise into the ground many times over.
